She joined Hermanos de Italia in 2012, that is, when the party was born from the split of the Pdl, and she became its national leader. She is a candidate in the political elections of 2013, and at the same time in the regional elections of Lazio, she is not elected. Instead, she returned to the regional council, in opposition, in 2018.
In the last political elections, last September, he landed in the Chamber. The new deputy is considered one of the people closest to the prime minister to whom, on the day of the vote, he addressed these words: «You are ready, and then look at us here, we trust you. And you, no, you won’t let us down.”

The congresswoman has rejected the thesis of a friendship with Ciavardini: «I simply carried out, in my role as regional councillor, what was granted to me and what was also owed that is, to also know people who have been or are detained”.
In recent days, some relatives of the victims, such as Peppino Impastato’s brother Giovanni, Salvatore Borsellino, brother of Paolo and the presidents of the three associations of relatives of the victims of the massacres in Piazza della Loggia, Piazza Fontana and Bologna . season, wrote an open letter against the appointment of Colosimo as head of the parliamentary anti-mafia commission: “We are horrified, Colosimo would have gigantic conflicts of interest.”
