FAST FRONT IN THE TYRRHENIAN REGIONS THURSDAY. Channeled into an intense humid western current of Atlantic origin, a new front will reach the Western Alps already in the afternoon of next Wednesday. On Thursday it will move rapidly towards the central-southern regions, directly affecting those on the Tyrrhenian side, with rains and showers from eastern Liguria southwards to Calabria and northern Sicily. Given the speed of the succession of fronts, the weather will already improve in the north, while the regions on the Adriatic side will not be affected, remaining downwind of the Apennine mountain range, with a dry climate, large sunny spaces and gentle gusts of wind. THURSDAY AFTERNOON NEW FRONT STARTING FROM THE NORTHWEST. Between the afternoon and evening, another Atlantic front will arrive towards the northwest, which will cause the resumption of rains and showers starting from the western Alps. spreading to those in the east and Lombardy and Triveneto the following night. Sporadic phenomena will probably affect the northwest and Emilia Romagna, with a tendency to improve from the early hours of the day and with large clearings that will quickly extend to the northeast.
FRIDAY RAINS AND SHOWERS IN THE MIDDLE-LOWER TIRENO. The front will slide quickly towards the Central-South, determining on Friday rains and showers mainly in the Tyrrhenian regions, leaving aside those from the Adriatic that will once again be in the lee of the Apennines, causing Garbino winds. The rapid movement of the front will favor an improvement during the day also in the upper Tyrrhenian region, with a clearing that will extend to the south.
MILD WEATHER. The weather will remain generally mild, with a tendency for a further increase in temperatures on Friday, when the Adriatic and Ionian regions and the eastern parts of the main islands will be able to reach values even of 26/27°C and locally beyond.

Even in high pressure conditions, in the middle of summer, short, localized but sometimes intense storms can suddenly form and surprise us: they are so-called “heat storms” and are most likely between the end of the afternoon and the beginning of the night.
