“A teacher from a comprehensive institute based in the province of Piacenza denounced the parents of a student who entered the school building without authorization during class hours, approaching the teacher in the corridor and uttering threats of various kinds after that the ‘teacher would have “dared” to scold his daughter for using the mobile during a lesson ». The Gilda di Piacenza teachers’ union reports this in a note.
“We prefer to report it at the end of the school year – explains the union – so as not to further disturb the serenity of the institutions involved and not create controversial situations that could disturb the delicate work of the researchers”.
“The teacher – writes the union – who in the following days even feared for her safety, also with the support of the Guild of Teachers of Parma and Piacenza, filed a regular complaint with the judicial authority and, always assisted by the union association, , asked the school authorities to obtain defensive action by the State Attorney, as recently indicated by the Minister of Education and Merit Valditara, and as effectively provided for by a law since 1933”.
The union reports after another case that again involves a teacher from Piacenza in a secondary school: «With his complaint – writes the Gilda union – he obtained the accusation of a woman, mother of a student, who had committed serious crimes in relation to your profession. . In this case, the trial against the suspect has already begun before the sole judge of the Court of Piacenza. The professor also filed a civil action.
«In the exercise of their functions, teachers are public officials and have powers of “authority”, legal aspects that sometimes escape us – comments the union coordinator of Piacenza and Parma, Salvatore Pizzo – for this reason we are monitoring the various school realities in the area to counteract the phenomena of delegitimization and contempt for the authority of teachers, which are often also due to a vulgar corporate attitude that leads students and their parents to be considered clients, and an exaggerated permissiveness that tramples on etiquette. For the future, in similar cases, it is not excluded to call reason to those who in various capacities must act justifying indiscipline, lack of commitment to study and criminal phenomena that are consumed to the detriment of teachers.
