A lot of curiosity and desire to get involved also through collaborations with other artists as a sign of a great passion for music. He is the one who has always characterized the artistic dimension of Noemí, one of the most appreciated voices of the current Italian pink song. Veronica Scopelliti was the star of the evening “Noemí: the metamorphosis of an artist” for the first evening date of the Fuori Festival at the Trento Auditorium that ended with her live performance at the piano also as a tribute to Tina Turner in the notes of ” Simply The Best” a great classic by the American singer.

“When you change something about your appearance, it can even be a look or a haircut, it means that something inside of you changes. I looked in the mirror for the first time in a long time and wanted to be different. It is important that this comes from you, not from those around you or from the environment”. This is how Noemí interviews Marta Cagnola, a journalist and presenter for Radio 24, talking about one of her most recent metamorphosis, a word that also gives the title to the artist’s latest album. “There are colors in my voice – Noemí revealed – in some periods of my life that are the expression of my insecurities. You relax a bit with age. You also feel compelled to represent things, a sound, but it’s also beautiful to escape from the dictates that are recorded in our conscience.” One of her great passions, a graduate in film and television criticism, is linked to the big screen: “I love cinema, if I hadn’t been a singer I wouldn’t have been an actress but I liked writing about cinema. I studied that and did my thesis on the atomization of the body in postmodern cinema “A body for Roger Rabbit”. When cinema is beautiful it reflects the times that we live in. Music and images were recently intertwined when one of the most important Italian directors, Nanni Moretti, chose his “Sono solo parole” for the soundtrack of the film “Il sol dell’avvenire” presented these days in Cannes. Verónica, a dream come true because Moretti is one of her favorite directors: “I’m happy that you chose my song for a beautiful choral scene in the film. Nanni Moretti invited me to lunch and then showed me “my” scene. I found him very educated, a bit of a professor, but instead he is very simple, a man of great talent and great humanity, he asked me many questions about the world of music and then we became friends”. In addition to talking about his future projects related to her new album that is currently being recorded, Noemí praised the new female interpreters of the Italian song: “I really like the women who are there now, they are very brave, with very focused profiles like Madame, Elodie, Aries. They are different, proud of what they want to tell. It’s difficult because many girls listen to composers thinking how nice it would be if they wrote this song for me, for a singer it’s more complicated. If I think of brotherhood, I immediately think of Fiorella Mannoia because she gave me the opportunity to sing with her and be perceived and welcomed by a certain public”. Then the music, with Noemi sitting at the piano also in memory of Tina Turner who died yesterday in the United States : “She was a great singer and songwriter. But also a great woman dedicated to the revolution and rebirth. I remember her hair, her voice, her legs. Her great strength. The song “Simply the best” is a dedication of love. She speaks the language of love as if it knew the meaning it has and reflects it because Tina just opened her mouth and it went straight to the heart”.
