After a brief respite from the bad weather, the rains are expected to return in the next few hours due to the transit of a new disturbance over our country. The latest update has clarified in which areas it will be necessary to have an umbrella on hand.
Since early morning, most of the central regions are under a thick layer of dense clouds, capable of causing some irregular rains, especially in straight, Abruzzo and in some sections of the Brands. Scattered cloudiness also in Sardinia and part of the South, especially Campania, Basilicata and north-central Apulia.
However, there is little to point out for our northern regions, where the weather outlook remains decidedly calm, except for the presence of some mists or fog banks around the Po Valley, but which are quickly dissolving.
GETTING WORSE IN THE AFTERNOON
Instead, pay attention to what will happen at the end of the morning and latewhen the disturbance will pass more decisively precisely over the Central regions, affecting with rains and storms also many areas of the southern peninsula. Particular attention should be paid to the Tyrrhenian area, especially in the south-central area of Lazio, where heavy showers, including storms, could occur, which cannot also be ruled out in the city of Rome.
Heavy rain is expected between the late afternoon and evening, especially in Campania, but also in the northernmost sectors of Puglia and much of Molise. Meanwhile, the weather outlook will remain stable in the rest of the center and especially in the northwest, while in the northeast, especially in the Triveneto area, there will be possible showers and some pinch of snow in the reliefs above 1300/1400 meters above sea level.
With regards to the temperatures, there will be a temporary decrease in the Center and South, due to adverse weather conditions. However, they will remain almost stationary in the North, with decidedly soft and pleasant values, especially in the central hours.
Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection, in agreement with the regions involved, which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the affected territories, has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions. Meteorological phenomena, which impact different areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin that can be consulted on the Department’s website (http://www.protezionecivile.gov.it).
Based on the expected phenomena, for Tuesday, November 7, the following was evaluated:
ORANGE ALERT due to hydraulic risk in some sectors of the Veneto;
YELLOW ALERT in Emilia Romagna, Lombardy AND Veneto due to hydraulic risk; in Abruzzo, straight AND Molise for the risk of storms and for Abruzzo, Campania, Molise AND Umbria due to hydrogeological risk.
