The total number of people isolated is approximately 200. The collapse affected the only access road.
Now there is only one viable link left narrow dirt road. The collapse occurred around 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 9.
Local firefighters and police are working to open easier pedestrian access through some private properties where the owners have given approval to the creation of passages.
For the local police in Genoa it was a long night of work: officers tried to identify all the residents who remained isolated to warn them.
Resident complaints
There Voice of Genoa collected the voices of some citizens who complained that the road had already been in critical condition for some time: “After four years of reports Thank goodness the road went down at least someone came to see,” said one resident.

“This morning we will continue the census to understand the needs of these people, who can now only move through a pedestrian crossing, which is clearly not enough given that from a vehicular point of view they are completely isolated,” says Gambino.
“We must thank the individual who allowed the opening to be created on his property,” adds the councilor.
Muraglione collapsed in Genoa
These are not the only damage caused by the storms: as already mentioned, in Genoa a wall collapsed in a private car park in Castelletto and debris and a car fell on the building below.
After the collapse, three buildings in via Acquarone were evacuated as a precaution, limiting themselves to the apartments on the floors affected by the landslide (ground floor and first floor).
The collapse also caused a heating outage due to the interruption of the gas supply.
In September, a landslide isolated 80 families in the Struppa neighborhood.
Storms in the Central-North
Not only Genoa has been affected by bad weather: in recent weeks storms have hit the entire Centre-North: critical situations have been recorded in the Pisa area, in Livorno, in Rome and in Milan, where it overflowed the Seveso.
