The new power limits for the B license come into force. Novice drivers will be able to drive plug-in hybrid and electric cars, complying with a single limit, that of 65 kW/t
With a circular resolution, the Ministry of Interior sweep away doubts the decision is introduce stricter limits and so, in first year of obtaining driving license Byou can only drive cars with reduced power
The measure was intended to increase the safe road. In this way, in fact, I novice drivers can take gradual trust with one vehicle before moving on to another with more horsepower. This is regardless of the age of the driver. In fact, with the term novice driver a personal distinction is not made, but only the time from which the license was obtained.
Thanks to infrastructure decreefrom now on, novice drivers with plug-in hybrid and electric cars have a single limit to observe i 65 kW/t specification that replaces the previous one of 55 kW/t. This and nothing else. Therefore the thing of the gods vanishes 70 kilowattsexclusively maintained for internal combustion vehicles.
A very important difference for novice drivers, given that the power limit set for those with less than three years of license is a rule that binds the choice of car by those who have no experience behind the wheel.
power limits. What has changed?
Approved on June 16 and signed into law on August 5, the infrastructure decree predicts corrections to the highway code, integrating a simple sentence capable of making everyone go crazy. Basically, the legislative intervention seemed to foresee two bets: 65 kW/t (instead of the previous 55 kW/t) and 70 kW (no change). Indeed, the Ministry of the Interior had assigned this interpretation, reported in a circular dated July 6.
At first sight the situation seemed not to have changed, as a drivable draft car in the past would hardly have been crossed off the list. Then, however, on September 7, the Viminale retraced its steps and issued another circular, in which it corrected the one issued two months earlier and underlined how the 70 kilowatts they apply only to endothermic motors.
In short, an unclear review that confused everyone a bit. Now, however (and barring further doubt), we know the truth: Those who have less than a year on the license can drive electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a single limit: 65 kW/t. No 70 kW threshold, which means more cars for everyone.
