The operation carried out by the agents of the Ischia police station, led by Deputy Commissioner Ciro Re, is a truly specific and significant operation, which represents a major blow in the fight against the unfortunately increasingly widespread phenomenon of drug trafficking in the territory . from the island of Ischia. The handcuffs were removed from the wrists of an unsuspecting person and, above all, a really important drug shipment was seized, valued at tens of thousands of euros once it was put on the consumer market. The police investigation began yesterday morning when a couple of house searches were carried out. One of them tested positive, obviously confirming a series of clues and suspicions that were already harbored in the offices in via delle Terme. At that time, a series of surveillance began to verify the veracity of a series of previously acquired information, news that saw in its sights a Casamicciolese with a clean record and therefore unknown to the police who seemed to have set up a business deal with everything respect by managing to remain above all suspicion.
The home of the subject in question was soon identified and constantly monitored. A series of movements considered suspicious (in particular, the comings and goings of some people) led the staff at the disposal of Deputy Commissioner Re to break the delay and carry out a house search in a house in via Principessa Margherita, in Casamicciola. The control by the police was absolutely meticulous, nothing was left to chance, obviously there was the certainty that Francesco Monti, 35, was keeping something illegal at home. And in the end the search gave a positive result. In fact, packages of minced meat were found in the freezer, inside which were found three well-hidden cellophane bags, inside which 274 doses of a cocaine-type narcotic substance were kept, ready to be transferred to third parties. At the same time, the guardians of the order also seized the amount of 870 euros in cash that contained, where appropriate, the proceeds of illicit drug trafficking. Monti was taken to the police station and after the usual formalities, after hearing the deputy prosecutor on duty, his translation was ordered in the Poggioreale prison where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending the validation hearing. It is worth noting a not marginal aspect of this story: the investigators suspect that Monti did not sell the cocaine directly and personally, but rather sold it to third parties who then put it on the market. That is why the investigation continues and new twists are not ruled out in the near future.
