ANTICYCLONE CERBERUS: African temperatures and tropical nights await usThe CERBERO anticyclone advances towards Italy and will be exceptional. In the coming days it will guarantee not only good weather everywhere, but also (and above all) African temperatures, especially in some areas of our country. Not only that: we will also have tropical nights and physical discomfort.
Because cerberus? The name of the anticyclone was not given by chance. It refers to the mythological figure that represents a dog-monster with three headsplaced to guard the underworld (Dante): well, metaphorically the three heads indicate the three main climatic zones in which Italy will be divided on Sunday, July 9 and will see the heat distributed by the anticyclone in another way.
The first band is made up of South and of two main islands: here we will have values above 40°Cespecially in inland areas of Sardinia.
The second band It’s about the central Tyrrhenian areawhere temperatures will suffer a sharp rise, with peaks that can reach the threshold of 37°C.
There third band, finally, is represented by the Northwhere the least hot temperatures will be recorded, but still very hot, with peaks up to 35°C in the Po Valley.
And that’s not all! With the start of next week the heat will turn up even more! As the following map shows, referring precisely to the day of monday july 10, the highlight of this African outburst will be the beginning of the week. just think about it sardinia the thermometers will show almost prohibitive values for our country, with peaks on i 45/46°C (color black) and around 40/43°C in Sicily (dark red/black).
